Handles tricky roofs

01

Handles tricky roofs

Most homes don't have one flat, unshaded roof face. Three separate solar inputs let panels facing different directions, or catching different amounts of shade, each work at their best, instead of the weakest string dragging the rest down.

Never notices an outage

02

Never notices an outage

Backup kicks in with a 0ms switchover, fast enough that lights, routers, and anything plugged in simply stay on. No backup box to add separately; it's already built in.

Room to grow

03

Room to grow

Start with one 5 kWh module and add more modules on the same inverter when usage rises - EV charging, a heat pump, or a growing household.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does the 0ms switchover actually mean day to day?

When the grid goes down, the PowerOcean 2 transfers your home to battery power so quickly that lights don't flicker and devices like routers or computers don't reset. You may not even notice the outage happened.

Can I run air conditioning or a heat pump during an outage?

The system supports true whole-home backup with a 72A bypass, which is built to handle higher-draw appliances like air conditioning, heat pumps, and pool pumps, not just lights and small electronics.

Do I need a separate backup box or gateway?

No. Backup capability and a smart meter are already built into the unit, which is part of why installation is faster than traditional systems that require an add-on backup box.

Can it work with panels that face different directions?

Yes, that's what it's designed for. Three independent solar inputs let you wire panel strings on different roof faces or angles separately, so shading or orientation differences on one string don't drag down the others.
